Meet Justine, the witty and candid stationery designer and hand letterer behind Justine Ma Design. It all began in 2012, when Justine took a screen-printing class. She was too scared to screen apparel, so she screened paper and the outcome was a crazy amount of prints. A stationery line was developed shortly after.
Ironically becoming an entrepreneur and business owner was not where Justine initially pictured her life heading. However, while she was freelancing as a graphic designer and working at various agencies the demand for her hand-lettering hobby slowly began to take over.
Within a year Justine was able to turn her passion into a full time job and she would never go back! Currently she makes hand lettered stationery and home goodies, ranging from greeting cards to home décor and recently tea/coffee mugs.
“Now that I have this job, I wouldn’t ever change it! It’s the best and truly a dream. When you do what you love, it doesn’t feel like work. It’s truly a blessing to wake up, enjoy my daughter, and choose when I work. Avoiding rush hour is always a plus too!”
